Note on the status of the website

The website Geschichte der Menschenrechte (History of Human Rights) and its active development were discontinued in July 2025. Since then, the content has been made available as an archive. No further updates to the content, technical adjustments, or further development are being carried out. For this reason, existing accessibility barriers will no longer be remedied. The information below describes the state of the website at the time of its discontinuation.

Status of compliance with the requirements

The website is [fully / partially / not] compliant with the requirements. The applicable standards are [the German Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) / the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG)] in conjunction with the EN 301 549 standard and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). [Partially / Not] compliant means that the content listed below is not accessible for the reasons given.

Non-accessible content

The following content is not, or not fully, accessible for the reasons stated:

  • Images without alternative text
  • PDF documents
  • Insufficient keyboard operability

As the website has no longer been maintained or further developed since July 2025, these barriers will not be remedied.
